About School Lifts

School Lifts is a school run coordination app that helps trusted groups of parents (pods) organise who drives children to and from school. By using School Lifts you agree to these terms. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@schoollifts.com.

Eligibility

School Lifts is intended for use by parents and guardians of school-age children in the United Kingdom. You must be 18 or over to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that the information you provide — including your name, home address, and children's details — is accurate and up to date.

Invite-only pods

Access to a pod is by invitation only. You are responsible for only inviting parents you know and trust. Pod admins can remove members at any time. School Lifts does not vet or verify the identity of any user.

Your responsibilities

School Lifts is a coordination tool only. All arrangements made through the app are between the parents involved. You are responsible for:

• Ensuring your vehicle is roadworthy and appropriately insured for carrying other people's children
• Complying with all applicable road traffic laws
• Communicating directly with other pod members if plans change
• Keeping your account details, including your address and children's information, up to date

Limitation of liability

School Lifts provides a coordination platform only. We are not a transport provider and are not party to any school run arrangement between parents. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from school run arrangements made through the app, including missed runs, cancellations, or accidents. The app is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse School Lifts. This includes not using the app to harass other users, not sharing your invite link publicly, and not attempting to access data belonging to other users or pods you are not a member of.

Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of School Lifts after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes where possible.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
