Who we are

School Lifts is a school run coordination app for trusted groups of parents. We are based in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@schoollifts.com.

What we collect

When you create an account and use School Lifts, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your home address (used to calculate distances for run matching)
• Your children's names and year groups
• School run data — dates, times, and bookings you participate in
• Profile photos you choose to upload (optional)
• Device push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)

How we use it

Your information is used solely to enable school run coordination within your pod. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Storage), hosted in the European Union.

Who can see your data

Your personal information — including your name, children's details, and school run history — is only visible to parents in the pods you have joined. It is never visible to the general public. Your home address is stored but not displayed to other pod members.

Children's data

We store children's first names and year groups as entered by their parents. This information is only shared with other parents in the same pod. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can:

• Edit your name from your profile in the app
• Delete your account and all associated data from your profile settings — this is immediate and permanent
• Contact us at hello@schoollifts.com for any other data requests

Cookies

The School Lifts app does not use tracking cookies. We use browser local storage to cache your pod data for faster load times. The marketing website (this site) does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
